This weekend was real wet with flooding locally. I went to check out a forest and found a lot of activity. As I finally got round to swap my manual long lens with an af-s 500, I had to try it out, no matter how bad the weather was. The lens is the version II without VR, but still a powerful tool. I found the Eurasian Treecreeper and a lot of Winter Wren. As the population of the Winter Wren has been low over the last two years, it is nice to see that it has picked up again. I also saw the Goldcrest and a lot of other more common birds of course, as this Blackbird.
